To really understand Terrace Tower Group today, we must go back to the start; to the founder, John Saunders, and to the way he cared for people. John had an amazing ability to relate to everyone around him. He could share a joke and he treated others with enormous respect.

When John started Terrace Tower back in 1985, he brought a sense of family to the private group of companies. He also had a wealth of experience as the Co-founder and Joint Managing Director of the Westfield Group, Australia's leading retail shopping centre developer and manager.

John Saunders died in December 1997 at the age of 75, and was survived by his daughters Betty and Monica and his son Mark. He also left us Terrace Tower Group, which by that time had become a thriving and prosperous business.

It is the sense of family that John instilled in the company, his warm and personal management style and his contribution to the international status of Australia's retail shopping centres that forms the foundation for Terrace Tower's success and reputation today.

John Saunders was a man of action; he believed in making things happen. And here at Terrace Tower Group, we continue that tradition.
